Fener advances to CEV final four

Fenerbahçe Universal, dubbed the “Yellow Angels,” beat Azerbaijani side Rabita Bakü 3-0 (25- 20- 25- 17, 25- 20) in the second round second leg of the CEV Champions League volleyball competition at Burhan Felek Sports Hall in İstanbul to advance to the final four for the third consecutive time.

Fenerbahçe Universal dominated the game from the very beginning, leading the first set 25-20. The İstanbul side never looked back, and it won the second 25-17 before easily wrapping up the third 25-20. Around 3,000 chanting fans were at the stand cheering on Fenerbahçe. The sports personalities at the game included Turkish Volleyball Federation President Erol Ünal Karabıyık, federation members, Fenerbahçe foot captain Alex de Souza and a host of Fenerbahçe administrators.
