Turkey's Davutoğlu meets US secretary of state in French capital

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu met with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the French capital of Paris on Thursday ahead of an international conference on Libya. 

Davutoğlu, who is currently in France to attend an international conference on Libya, met with Clinton at the US embassy residence in Paris. The two officials were expected to discuss the latest developments in Libya during their gathering.

 

The Libya conference to be held in Paris will be held at the Elysee Palace this afternoon. After his opening speech, French President Nicolas Sarkozy will meet with the participants of the conference over a working dinner.

The restructuring process for Libya after the fall of Muammar Gaddafi's regime and the financial assistance to be extended to the National Transitional Council (NTC) will be the main topic discussed at the gathering.
