Cameron spoke after meeting with BP chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg at 10 Downing Street on Friday to discuss the company's progress in dealing with the ruptured underwater well. Afterward, the prime minister told people at a public event that he also spoke with the BP executive about compensation the oil giant will need to pay. Cameron says that the company needs some certainty about the scope of its liabilities.
